Monica completed her undergraduate degree from Georgian Court University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and continued on at Georgian Court for higher education to gain her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health. Monica is nationally certified and is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the Integrated Adolescence IOP/PHP program. She has experience working with teens and adults from various populations including substance use, severe persistent mental illness, and intellectual disability, in group home and partial hospitalization settings.

Monica is passionate about connecting with others and hopes to offer a meaningful, supportive, and safe experience for all clients. She believes that all clients have the strength and ability to foster change within their lives, and strives to act as an empowering resource for clients to utilize while on their healing journey. Commonly used approaches Monica incorporates into her work include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Strength-Based approaches in order to support clients in creating a life worth living and increasing quality of life. Her approach with clients encompasses respect, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental nature, while incorporating humor and playfulness when appropriate, maintaining professionalism and authenticity.

In order to advance her career, Monica is determined to further her knowledge in Mind and Body practices and trauma work. Monica loves the outdoors and is enthusiastic about incorporating eco-therapy practices into her work. Monica finds peace while at the beach, enjoys getting lost in books, and holds her time with family and friends close to her heart. Monica has an adventurous nature and loves making memories at concerts, going on hikes, and traveling as much as she can.
