Mary Previte LAC, NCC, RYT

Therapist

After retiring from a 22 year career in collegiate athletics administration mentoring student-athletes through their academic and athletic careers, Mary returned to school, receiving a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Georgian Court University.

Returning to school was prompted by Mary’s passion for helping and supporting individuals in their growth. She is a member of the Chi Sigma Iota honor society, and has presented on Mind/Body Interventions in Mental Health. She received her certification in trauma-informed yoga from the Sakala School of Integrative Teaching, and is a registered 200-hour yoga teacher.

After completing her internship at Integrated Care Concepts & Consultation, she feels blessed to have been offered the opportunity to become a part of the ICCC family when she received her Licensed Associated Counselor license from the state of New Jersey. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the New Jersey Counseling Association.

Mary works from a client centered perspective, understanding the client’s journey is their own, with the counselor along to help guide and challenge, working toward the change they desire. She practices building rapport through non-judgement and empathy. Although she believes the therapist’s toolbox should be diverse, the existential theories provide a solid base to build an outlook to the future of wellness. Mind/body is foundational to Mary’s work, allowing the client to become comfortable in their body, however everything is invitational, allowing the client agency.
