Heidi Jackson LAC, P-RDT
Heidi Jackson is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and Provisionally Registered Drama Therapist (anticipated full RDT May 2025) in Monmouth County, NJ. Heidi is a lifelong theater and film performer, teaching artist, collaborator of original theater pieces, and an explorer of negotiating with embodiment, relationship, and the vulnerability of both. Heidi came to her professional counseling and drama therapy training after a long break from school, a full life as an NYC actor, birthing twins, moving all over the country and a ton of life. Heidi has worked in places as diverse as a therapeutic boarding school, court systems and public schools; indie films, fringe theater, tv, and co-hosting a national live tv game show. She currently works as a full time clinician at ICCC in our Integrated Adolescence PHP and IOP programs. In this, Heidi works with clients from ages 12 to 18 and their families, often utilizing playful, trauma-informed therapies through a relational lens. It is no understatement to say that she is truly humbled and inspired by her clients, their families, and colleagues. Heidi is especially interested in grief, unconditional love and how to find a way in to repair, amongst the broken. She is endlessly hopeful and working to discover how an embodied approach can help find the “back door in” to connection to self and others.
Get to Know Heidi
Heidi is from Seattle, loves to bake (bread and cookies), loves Erykah Badu, Mary Oliver, Sleater-Kinney, and crazy dancing. She tries to look at people the same way her father told her he looked at a poem (and a person) when he said “I try to read every poem as if it’s the best poem I’ve ever read.” There is always hope—and love is real.
