Guerline Dume-Lotin PMHNP-BC
In 2003 Guerline graduated from Broome Community college Binghamton NY in Quality Assurance with an associate degree. She has worked in human resources and banking previously. Noting her nurturing character and her will to serve others, her brother who was a nurse told her that she would be a wonderful nurse. Her hunger for knowledge and compassion for others had driven her to nursing school. She graduated as an LPN in 2009, and in 2014 as a Professional Registered Nurse from Brookdale community college. In 2018, she received her bachelors in nursing from New Jersey City University. She has been a Certified Home Health Aid coordinator and Instructor since 2017 where she is continuously preparing successful professionals in the community.
During her nursing career she has worked in acute care, long term care, subacute care, and home care. She also had many clinical rotations in various settings such as ICU, Mental Health, women health, and ambulatory care. Through experience in these environments, she fueled her passion to give back and support her community. After COVID-19, and life experiences it has become clear that mental health was her calling and she believes that more clinicians are needed to advocate, support, and educate the community. She decided to go back to school in 2020 for her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and graduated from Walden University with a master’s degree in nursing science. Guerline understands that every human being is different with great potential to do great things. She believes that the human body has many complex faculties while the mind governs it all. Her goal is to help her clients to establish that interrelationship between mind and body, using sound therapeutic approach and holistic views to find a balance. The health of the body depends on the health of the mind.
