A Trauma Yoga Women's Group

Tuesday evening from 5:30-6:30 pm, ongoing

A women's group for reclaiming our hearts through sensation and movement. Through our life experiences, anxiety, depression, stress and/or trauma can often have the effect of leaving ones heart and not being in the present moment with ourselves. Let us invite and allow sensation and free flowing movements to be our doorways back to our true selves. Our intentions to come back home to the self with compassion and tenderness is our entry point for self-discovery, healing and connection of the mind, body, and spirit. Pre-application and registration is required. Pricing for Group Therapy/Yoga Sessions (those which include a Licensed Therapist) can utilize health insurance, if applicable, but will also carry applicable co-payments/co-insurance/deductibles.

We invite you to join us in a men's yoga group to release stress, decompress and heal from the inside out. Trauma sensitive yoga will be provided, safely guiding group members through movement and meditation to address stress and anxiety. This invitational practice of integrating mind, body and spirit may also increase strength, stamina and energy! Allow yourself to explore the possibility of health and wellness on and off of your yoga mat. Grief is the unwanted and misunderstood river all of us will encounter and must navigate. This is so often done without a calibrated compass or comprehensive guide. The tributaries of mourning further complicate the landscape and present clinical challenges for the clinician sitting with those immersed and flooded. Presenters: Larry Thompson, LCSW Carol Davis, LCSW Join us as we present a multifaceted, holistic approach to working with grief. This interactive seminar allows clinicians to explore integrative approaches that have been evidenced to encourage this navigation. Experiential Offerings include meditation & yoga. Lunch break will be catered. Continuing Education credits eligible through NASW for 6 credits for social workers, professional counselors and marriage & family therapists.
