Olivia Gomez LSW
Olivia earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in Chronic Illness from James Madison University. After graduation, she began working as a care coordinator at a therapy practice, where her passion for mental health truly took shape. This inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University.
During her graduate studies, Olivia gained valuable experience in both in-home therapy and school-based settings, working with children at the elementary and middle school levels. She also served as a Case Manager and later Program Coordinator for the Displaced Homemakers of Ocean County, a program dedicated to supporting women over 40 navigating life transitions such as domestic violence, divorce, or the loss or disability of a spouse.
Currently, Olivia works at ICCC in both School-Based Services and outpatient programs. In addition, she serves as the School Social Worker on a Child Study Team at a local high school. She is a certified Intimate Partner Violence Advocate through A Partnership for Change and brings experience in individual and group counseling across all age groups, including children, teens, and adults.
Olivia is deeply committed to building a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to be their authentic selves. With a strong belief in the mind-body connection, she often incorporates play, art, and mindfulness-based approaches into her sessions. At the core of her work is a client-centered philosophy. Olivia believes in meeting individuals where they are and honoring them as the experts in their own healing journeys.
