Fiona Mackenzie LSW
Fiona Mackenzie is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in New Jersey with a School Social Work Certification. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service. Since beginning her first school social work internship in 2016, Fiona has been providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and teens. She also trained at Ocean Health Initiatives, where she provided brief screening and intervention services and helped reduce barriers to care related to financial, linguistic, and cultural challenges. During her master’s program, Fiona was part of PIPELINE for Youth Health (Prioritizing Integrated Care, Prevention, and Equity), a specialized program dedicated to preparing social workers to serve communities of color and at-risk youth. This training emphasized prevention, integrated care, and health equity, strengthening her commitment to culturally responsive and evidence-based care.
Her professional experience includes individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and family support. Fiona’s clinical practice is rooted in strengths-based and person-centered approaches, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based interventions.
