Bianca earned her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Rutgers University-Newark with a minor in LGBTQ Studies. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work Degree from Rutgers University School of Social Work. During Bianca’s time there, she completed a certificate in Aging and Health and was inducted into the Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social Work students. Bianca completed internships at American Friends Service Committee, and was later hired, primarily focusing on case management, bridging access to necessary services to her clients. For her undergraduate practicum, Bianca interned at Hyacinth Aids Foundation co-facilitating wellness groups. During her graduate practicum Bianca interned at Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, where she did a mixture of older adult assessments, case management, and therapeutic services with adolescents and their families. Bianca is bilingual in English and Spanish and has experience working within the Hispanic Community.

Her therapeutic approach centers around meeting the client where they are. Bianca understands that therapy looks different for everyone and ensures that she is able to provide a safe, judgment-free zone for her clients to grow towards their goals. She likes to utilize a strength-based approach with her clients to highlight each individual’s strengths and how they can be utilized to further allow the client to grow. Bianca’s goal as a therapist is to assist clients in feeling empowered to be able to make the changes they want to make in their lives.

Get to Know Bianca

During her free time Bianca enjoys going to Red Bulls soccer games, spending time with her partner, family, and friends, as well as playing with her cat. She is also a firm believer in self-care, and her go-to forms of self-care are doing her nails, painting, watching tv/movies, running and listening to music.
