Education: Bachelor of Psychology Georgian Court University / Master’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Georgian Court University

During Brett’s undergraduate studies, she focused on learning, supporting, and working with adolescents with developmental disabilities. Brett has recently worked in community mental health, specifically at CPC Integrated Health in the Addiction Recovery Services program. She also has prior experience working in substance use treatment facilities and outreach programs. Brett’s clients often had substance usage issues but also faced other challenges such as anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring conditions. Additionally, she has experience working with individuals with process addictions. Brett has also worked closely with the LGBTIQIA+ community, providing a haven for individuals and facilitating weekly meetings for adults and adolescents. Currently, Brett is working towards obtaining h LCADC and LPC.

Brett uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which emphasizes the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Specifically, delving into how the client experiences these symptoms and the relationship they have with them. She also takes into consideration clients’ past and present experiences. Additionally, Brett uses an Integrative approach that focuses on clients’ overall well-being, including their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions.

Brett is dedicated to personal growth and enjoys exploring various genres through reading and podcasts, constantly seeking to expand her horizons. Spending quality time with family and loved ones is a top priority for her. Exercise is an integral part of Brett’s daily routine, and she particularly enjoys participating in intermediate-level basketball and volleyball leagues. In the summer months, hiking, trail running, camping, and relaxing on the beach are some of Brett’s favorite activities. During the winter season, Brett loves snowboarding and snowshoeing. Additionally, she enjoys NYC Broadway shows, museums and art exhibits, comedy shows, exploring new food spots, and conventions.
