Yvonne has earned a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University and anticipates graduating in 2020 with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kean University. Yvonne has completed her Certificate in Sand Play Therapy which includes Advanced Training in Male and Female Archetypes. In addition to her work with Integrated Adolescence at ICC&C, Yvonne has worked with survivors of Domestic Violence in a transitional residence with their families. Yvonne has experience presenting guided imagery, holistic health and wellness education workshops and cooking classes to communities, corporations, groups, and individuals of all ages.

Yvonne often refers to her theory of “LYF” – Love Yourself First. She believes in radical self-acceptance, self-care and compassion as a pathway to change. She is a strengths-based, and trauma-informed therapist who is passionate about helping clients go within to identify and access the strengths and solutions to their challenges and to recognize and work through any barriers that may be impacting their mental health and wellness.

Yvonne has been a longtime advocate for her adult son, who has Developmental Disabilities and Autism. She and her son have volunteered at the local B.P.O.E., giving back to the community that offered so much during her son’s childhood. Yvonne loves spending time in nature, hiking, biking, kayaking, and balances her free time with her family, her friends and her pets – cats, Brody and Foxtrot (Foxy) and her Siberian Husky, Teeko. She enjoys carving out time for solitude, reading, practicing meditation, self-hypnosis, and other Mind/Body practices.

Yvonne believes that everyone is unique and that our worldview and personal spirituality can play an important role in overall well-being. She is grateful to be a part of the team here at Integrated Care Concepts and Consultation. The respectful and collaborative corporate culture is unlike any that she has experienced in her career.

Some of Yvonne’s favorite quotes are from Carl G Jung:

“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
