Lisa Kepets, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

732-389-0697 Extension: 839

Location: Eatontown (Main Office)

Lisa earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, and then went on to complete her Masters in Social Work at New York University. She gained valuable clinical skills and experience in a Brooklyn community counseling center where she worked with adults and adolescents, as well as couples. She served clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and other life adjustments. To gain greater insight and understanding of her clients, Lisa furthered her education at Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, earning a one year degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Lisa’s approach to psychotherapy is an eclectic one, drawing from a psychodynamic perspective, which acknowledges the influence of past experiences and early relationships, but utilizing cognitive and behavioral techniques as well. She hopes to chart a course that is individually tailored to suit the needs of each client in an environment that feels empathic, safe and supportive.

One of her favorite authors is Dr. Irvin Yalom, psychiatrist and psychotherapist, who thinks of his clients and himself as “fellow travelers,” both on the journey of life together, experiencing its great joys as well as its great hardships.

When not in the office, Lisa is an avid reader, a (somewhat) avid exerciser, and the proud mom of three children.
