Margaret is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor. She earned both a master’s degree in Social Work and a certification in Substance Abuse Counseling at Rutgers University. In addition, she has a master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute and a certificate in Movement Analysis from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in New York City.
Margaret’s clinical experience with individuals, couples, families, and groups has included populations that range in age from pre-school through seniors. She has worked in community mental health, educational, domestic violence, criminal justice, and psychiatric settings.
Her holistic approach includes the following: psychodynamic, insight oriented talk therapy, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral approaches, mindfulness/compassion practices, sensory awareness of body/ breath, and expressive therapies that foster individual integration, growth and healing. For 20+ years she has explored the interrelationships between body, mind, emotion, sensing, feeling, and expression as uniquely embodied in each individual.
