Certified Yoga Therapist, Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher & Educator
Judy Thompson is a mother, wife, certified yoga therapist, experienced registered yoga teacher, educator, reiki master, artist and co-founder of the yoga and meditation wellness center offerings at Integrated Care Concepts and Consultation. As co-founder, Judy’s approach is to offer multi-sensory workshops and teachings that present the client with a naturalized approach to love of self and intuitive healing. Integrated Care’s goal is to maintain a standard of excellence through accomplished teacher instruction, unique curriculum offerings and a validating client experience.
As a certified yoga therapist, yoga alliance accredited teacher and continuing education provider (and ardent student herself) Judy is honored to share her passion for wellness and healing with clients and students. Being granted the credential of yoga therapist, through years of training, education and experience amounting to over 2000 hours of therapy service with clients, Judy is humbled to be granted the achievement and credential of yoga therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). “Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and wellbeing through the application of the teachings and practices of yoga.” International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT)
Judy has completed training and certifications with many teachers and leaders in the field, most notably influenced by the teachings of Dr. Richard Miller with Integrative Restoration Institute/ iRest Yoga Nidra meditation training, Amy Weintraub for Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, and others such as Warriors at Ease Certified Training and Yoga of 12 Step Recovery for addiction services.
Having spent over 14 years in the corporate world and working in human resources and wellness, Judy provided motivation, instinct, and first-hand experience in creating, designing and developing targeted, corporate-based educational wellness programs provided by Integrated Care, now called Integrated@Work. The program and offerings serve and benefit corporate wellness programs, as well as engage employees in educational and self-care tools that they can take from their professional life into their personal life, ultimately ending in self-actualization, which is based off of the five tier motivational theory, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Judy maintains a PHR Certification in Human Resources.
Judy’s path with healing and wellness is one that was birthed to her through the combination of a congenital anomaly and a traumatic life event. At age 12, having been injured in an accident that resulted in the fracture of her cervical vertebrae, Judy began, what is now, a life-long practice of managing pain and a physical injury. Her path was further tested, when at age 26, she was diagnosed with a congenital heart arrhythmia which conditioned her body into a constant panic-like attacks. Working with the sensations of trauma and anxiety still continue to be a life-long practice, for which she accredits the practices of nada yoga, found through Lifeforce Yoga, and meditation, found through iRest yoga nidra, and creative construct, as the tools she uses to help balance the touchstones and suffering within her own life.
Judy’s teachings are multi-sensory and available to all…”It only takes a willing heart to learn; belief and heartfelt understanding follow as the gentleness and inner calmness of yoga and meditation so quietly engages the soul into an inner conversation with the heart, the mind and the body.”
