Clinical Counseling Intern & Executive Assistant
Jen attended Rutgers University where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. Since then she has experience working with individuals who have struggled with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, developmental disabilities, schizophrenia and more. Jen has worked in schools, nonprofit residential settings, crisis hotlines, partial care/intensive outpatient programs and outpatient settings. It was Jen’s experience as a case manager that inspired her to pursue her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Monmouth University.
Jen believes every human being has the power to heal themselves. She aspires to not only act as a guide to help people achieve recovery but also to help facilitate their healing process. Her counseling approach integrates person-centered counseling, mindfulness/compassion practices and holistic healing. Jen believes that sometimes working on the mind is not enough to help someone heal because emotions get stored in the body.
Jen was drawn to the mind-body approaches at Integrated Care Concepts as it was a mind-body approach that brought about her own healing. Jen became a certified children’s yoga instructor to help provide the next generation with a mind-body toolbox at a young age.
